The apartment is accessed via either of 2 stairways - 8 or 14 steps from the carpark off the street. Or you can drive up to the rear door and enter the apartment up 5 steps. From the apartment there are approximately 50 steps down to the pool.

Murphy Street in Port Douglas is considered one of the town's most unique and prestigious addresses because it anchors the upper ridge of the "Golden Triangle". It is the only street in the village centre that balances a completely secluded, elevated hillside topography with instant, walkability to the main attractions. Murphy Street provides a geographic vantage point that flat coastal roads cannot match. The prestigious multi-level villas line the hill at the same time, the world-famous Four Mile Beach, the local marina and the iconic beach/cliff walk are easily accessible on foot. It serves as a quiet, tree-canopied sanctuary right behind the town's main strip

Port Douglas does not have a traditional government-run public transport system. Instead, the town relies on privately operated local shuttle buses and taxis to help people get around. Port Douglas is highly compact and pedestrian-friendly. Murphy Street runs parallel right above Macrossan Street main dining and shopping strip.
